Category Descriptions for Quilt Show Entries
Pieced: More than 50% of the quilt top is pieced.
Applique: Applique work is a prominent feature of the quilt.
Embellished/Embroidered:
Includes embroidered blocks and/or borders, crazy quilt pieces. The main theme or feature of the piece is the embroidery, handwork, embellishments (trims, beads, etc.).
Contemporary/Art:
Constructed with non-traditional techniques and/or materials, or with an emphasis of art over function.
Guild Annual Challenge:
Quilted pieces that utilize recognizable amounts of the Challenge fabric (made available at the previous year’s Quilt Show.)
Group: Constructed by three or more people, excluding the machine quilter.
Wearable & Miscellaneous:
Quilted items that can be worn or used, or were made for decorative purposes.
Christmas: Expression of a Christmas season theme.
Other: Pieces that do not fit in any other category (i.e., whole cloth, miniature/reduced scale, stenciled, yo-yos, etc.)
Group/Rd. Robin Challenge (Display only):
Quilts from a group or round robin challenge, to be displayed as a group, but not judged on.

Washington State Quilters-Spokane Chapter presents their 32nd Annual Quilt Show. Celebrating the many ways women express themselves, their art and the 100th Year Anniversary of Washington State granting women the Right to Vote.
Featured Quilter Karen Brown. Spokane County Fair & Expo Center, 404 N. Havana, Spokane Valley, Washington, $7 for all three days--children 11 and under free. Over 600 quilted items displayed, merchant mall, hourly demonstrations, WSQ's Boutique of handmade items, the traveling Hoffman Challenge Quilts, Free Parking.
